April 27 Prompt: Reflect on your research topic and identify the most compelling issue connected to it. Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

The most compelling issue connected to this topic is that most parents prefer strict parenting styles to their kids. This issue is some factors that lead to a authoritative style would mostly be on how the parents were raised. Parents often want their child to have a great future and have an educated lifestyle. This is really important to me because with a strict style the relationship between parents and children is high demanding for a cause of different behaviors. When we were researching and reading through the sources parenting is  mostly quoted to be having a "controversial" parenting style.  Summary: In class we started evaluating our 7 different sources together and picked them out.  Reflection: Our group finished with the worksheets.

April 24 Prompt: How has completing the annotated bibliography changed or clarified your understanding of your research topic? Discuss how your sources connect to one another and how they are shaping your argument moving forward.

After finishing my research project I understood that it takes time to write out what I've read from other researchers to put into my writing. But I truly understood how researching works and it will help me improve when finding specific sources to my topic. These sources connect to one another based on what's my topic is about. It shapes my argument into a new writing style. Summary: Today in class we tried to finish our writable project. Reflection: Since I have already finished half way yesterday today I finished the 10 paragraphs.

April 22/April 23 (Block Day)Prompt: Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.

`     The most challenging was summarizing all the sources into separate paragraphs. As I started working more quickly and efficiently I was able to read and skim quicker to be able to start putting down what I researched and read. When I started writing my research paper I was able to gather all the information in my head after skimming through all the pages.  Summary: In class we worked in writable to start our research sources.  Reflection: I'm almost done with all my sources.

Prompt: As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

While researching my topics I found different view points about how parents treat their kids. Some parents go the strictest ways to make sure their children get the best and meet their high expectations. This helped me understand that different parents all have their own ways in taking care of their children. These sources provide different viewpoints on how children behave and act. Summary: In class we continued researching and gathering  sources on our topic. Reflection: I've gathered all my sources and I'm ready to upload it into Canvas.

Prompt: Think about your experience using GALILEO to find sources. How was this different from how you have searched for information in the past? Explain how using specific search strategies and evaluating sources impacted the quality of what you found.

Using Galileo to find sources now helps me discover more reliable information. This is different from how I have searched for information from the past because Galileo gives me more direct information and a set of different view points on my topic. Rather then just searching up on Google what I need these strategies help me find my information more quicker. Summary: Today in class we used Galileo to find credible articles for our research topic. Reflection: I found a few different summaries overall for my research findings.

Prompt: Political cartoons often use exaggeration and symbolism to make a point, and they can also serve as important visual sources for analysis. What is being criticized in this image? What does this source suggest about the issue, and what does the cartoonist want the audience to question or reconsider?

The cartoon shows that the government is using news about Iran and Israel to distract people from what’s actually happening. When Trump points at the missiles, the "DOGE" chainsaw and the elephant are actually crushing and hurting Uncle Sam. The cartoonist wants us to see that our own country's systems and ways are actually being broken while we're looking the other way. Summary: In class we analyzed a research article on mail. Reflection: We understood the research points and the format

Prompt: Think about how you have searched for information in the past compared to what you practiced today. How is creating specific search phrases different from just “Googling” a topic? Explain how this strategy will improve the quality of your research.

Rather than just "Googling" a topic, today I learned to research specific phrases to get credible information. This strategy will improve the quality of my research when I'm unsure of what to search up for my assignment. By doing so I am able to write down more information about my topic and improve my researching skills to get further details. Summary: In class we talked about researching our group assignment.  Reflection: In class I finished my search sentences to search for.

Prompt: Think about the most stereotypical film you have ever seen. This could be a movie that represents a specific culture, race, gender, or group in an oversimplified or unrealistic way. In your response, explain what film you are referring to, What stereotypes were present in the film, and how those stereotypes shaped your understanding of that group at the time

In the 2004, film Mean Girls, this represents the way we talk or act. In the film there was a group of Asian teenage girls. The film made it seem like when Asians are mad they talk and yell extremely loud causing a commotion. When Asians argue it is not that we want attention but the person listening to us doesn't really listen so we would have to scream to make the situation a big deal.  Summary: In class we did a Kahoot over the things that we should know. Reflection: We are working on our brainstorming project as a group. I have to finish the research paper.

Prompt: Reflect on your past experiences with research in school. What challenges have you faced when working independently or in a group, and how did you handle them? Explain how those experiences will influence the way you approach this current research project.

While working in a group or independently I always do my own work. Even if I'm in a group all work that is assigned to me will be completed. My peers will have to do their work and finish their section of the project. The project that we are working on right now, me and my partner we don't really split the work but just do any parts together.  Summary: In class we worked on CommonLit. Reflection: I finished my CommonLit.

Prompt: If you could plan the perfect spring break with no limitation, money, time, or responsibilities—what would it look like? Where would you go, who would you bring, and what would you do?

If I could plan a perfect spring break it would look like a relaxing break at home. Me and my parents would go out to the park and bring food we made at home there to enjoy. We would go on walks, eat the food we brought out on the picnic, and just enjoy nature. You don't need money, expensive things, and other stuff just to have a great time. You can always create it yourself.  Summary: In class we finished watching the movie and answered a question.  Reflection: I finished answering question 4.
