Prompt: Based on the first 40 minutes of the film and Chapters 1–11 of the book, does the visual version of Chris’s journey make his choices seem more justified or more reckless than the text does? Explain how the medium (film vs writing) shapes your perspective.
After watching a little bit of the film and reading "Into the Wild," his choices seemed more justified, we can see in the film that he has been going his own ways since he was small shaping how he loves to go for an adventure and doesn't want to go to college. They both shape the way I look at Chris differently from how much he loves being independent in the wild to how much he loves nature. Both the film and book express it differently seeing him as a more reasonable person for burning his valuables and starting a new life away from his family and friends.
Summary: In class we watched a little bit of the movie and answered questions on writable.
Reflection: I finished all the questions on writable except number 3.
