Prompt: After reading Chapter 1 of Into the Wild, consider your first impression of Christopher McCandless. Based solely on the events and details presented in this opening chapter, do you believe McCandless truly understood the risks he was taking when he entered the Alaskan wilderness? Why or why not?

We weren't able to read chapter one in class today;even though its a short chapter, we didn't have time. Instead we went over the introduction of the book. Knowing what hiking means, what you have to bring, and just being ready for it. We went over a presentation about what they book would be about and that it's over a real story.

Summary: In class we went over an introduction of the book.

Reflection: We wrote on our paper what supplies we would need to bring for hiking.
