Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

A thing that my parents forbade me from doing while I was growing up was to be able to do things on my own, or like going out by myself. I think they set this rule because they still see me as that 2 year old Hamy since I look pretty young actually. But they won't let me go anywhere alone. If I do go I have to go with someones parents or a guy older than me. This is good because they care for me but I want to be independent and rely on myself. I don't want to feel like I am still small because I feel so in their control.

Summary: In class we read a new poem and discussed questions.

Reflection: I am working on finish reading the poem and my group presentation.
