Prompt: In “A Rose for Emily,” Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

The most shocking news story I have ever heard is called The Tanganyika Laughter Epidemic. Basically in 1962 there was a outbreak in a village there Kashasha. This stood out to me because this is very strange and weird full of psychological questions. People where confused and it reveals that it was a stress-induced mass psychogenic illness. It even caused contagious laughter in 1000 people in Tanzania.

Summary: In class we continued reading the story, "A Rose for Emily".

Reflection: I finished answering the question parts and finished my blog post.
