You’ve been in American Literature for 4.5 weeks now. How has the class been going for you so far?

The class has been very calm and interesting so far. Reading poems and analyzing different perspectives of literature has been very fascinating and easy to understand. I have classmates in there too so its more fun to have someone to talk to the work about. I'm glad the class is not hard and that we have time to do the assignments that are due. The projects are not that huge but easy and simple to do which makes it a nice class. The teacher explains things very throughout the lesson and every detail that needs to be understood so we can be better at annotating passages and understand what's going on.

Summary: Today in class we read about a poem and did a worksheet on a heart.

Reflection: I understood the poem and finished coloring and drawing the heart.

Write about something that you wish you had more of.

Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

Reflect on a time when you paused to appreciate the beauty of nature, much like the speaker in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Where were you, what did you notice, and how did that moment of stillness make you feel or change your perspective?
